Appa is built in the UK for people sharing sensitive home and project information. We aim to comply with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and GDPR principles where they apply, and we design the product around collecting only what helps us serve you.
When you request access, contact us, or use Appa, we may collect details such as your name, email address, project address, planning context, uploaded materials, and messages you send us. We use this to provide Appa, prepare planning workflows, respond to you, keep the service secure, and improve the product.
We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working. We may also use privacy-conscious analytics, including page views, device/browser data, approximate location signals, heatmaps, and session replay-style diagnostics, so we can understand what is confusing, fix bugs, and make Appa calmer and easier to use. We do not sell personal data.
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and you can object to certain processing where the law gives you that right. We keep data only for as long as we reasonably need it, protect it with appropriate safeguards, and choose suppliers who are expected to handle data responsibly.
For privacy questions or requests, email hello@appaplan.com. This short notice is friendly by design; a fuller policy may follow as Appa grows.
Appa helps prepare and organise planning application materials, but it is not a law firm, architecture practice, planning authority, or regulated professional adviser. The service is provided to support decision-making, not replace professional judgment.
Planning decisions remain with the relevant local planning authority and can depend on site-specific facts, policy interpretation, neighbour responses, officer judgment, committee decisions, and changes in law or guidance. We work hard to improve readiness, but we cannot promise approval, validation, timescales, cost savings, or a particular result.
You are responsible for reviewing information, confirming measurements, ownership, permissions, constraints, and local requirements, and deciding whether to seek advice from a qualified architect, planning consultant, solicitor, surveyor, structural engineer, or other professional before submitting anything.
Appa may include draft outputs, automation, AI-assisted checks, and human review. Those materials can be incomplete or need correction, especially while the product is young. Please do not rely on Appa as your only source of truth for legal, planning, safety, building control, tax, finance, or insurance decisions.
We take privacy seriously and aim to operate in line with UK GDPR, GDPR principles where applicable, and the Data Protection Act 2018. If something looks wrong, tell us quickly at hello@appaplan.com so we can put it right.
